MAC Music committee’s Mark Redmond’s music blog FB page “What I Like is Sounds” has some great shots from Saturday’s show. A great time was had by all! What an amazing show in our transformed gallery/performance space! Pro theatrical staging and sound courtesy of High Output, and IPA from our friends at Blue Hills Brewery helped make this an event to remember. Stay tuned for more events at the MAC.
Today we received confirmation from the IRS that we are now officially a tax exempt, charitable organization! Many thanks to Mary McNamara for all of her hard work during this arduous process.
The Milton Art Center seeks to create community through art for all ages to immerse themselves in creativity. The center offers a variety of visual arts and digital media education classes to bring people together to make and share art. Exhibits, classes, workshops, lectures, performance and cultural events are just a few of the opportunities available at the Milton Art Center. We seek to provide a supportive space for learning, to inspire with established and emerging artist exhibitions, and to connect with each other through our shared passion for art.
The Milton Art Center is an expansion of the after school arts enrichment, program, FAVA, Friends and Advocates of the Visual Arts, which has been running in the Milton Public Schools since 2003.
The FAVA program started in response to impending cuts to arts programming within the Milton Public Schools. FAVA partners with the MPS and donates a percentage of their profits to the arts department in the MPS.
